There is just enough Heaven on the Earth to offset the Hell any of us may be going through.
In the next age, Heaven and Hell will be completely sorted out. Christ will soon return to the Earth and purge every remnant of wickedness from this planet. He will once again instruct us concerning Heaven's protocol. Those who follow Him will set up a perfect Government and will make Earth fit for Heaven once again.
God's original design was for the Man to reign on the Earth with His Blessing, as His representative. God designed a section of the Earth to look like Heaven. He gave the Man a command to be fruitful and multiply and propagate a Garden Paradise to the four corners. But the Earth was thrown into turmoil because of man's poor choices. Heaven, of necessity, had to step back for a season, and Hell has taken the opportunity to gorge itself.
Those of us who are seeking Good can find still find Good. There are opportunities every day in your little corner of the Earth to open the door and invite the kingdom of Heaven back in.
The Earth is, for the unredeemed, the closest they will ever come to Heaven. Likewise, the Earth is, for the Redeemed, the closest they will ever come to Hell.
